From deconfined spinons to coherent magnons in an antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain with long range interactions

Luhang Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, the nature of excitations in an antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain with staggered long range interactions was investigated using numerical methods and a multi-spinon approximation. It was found that the emergence of Neel order can be explained by the behavior of the spin dynamic structure factor. The chain undergoes true symmetry breaking and develops long range order, transitioning to a gapped ordered antiferromagnetic phase.

One-particle spectral functions of the one-dimensional Fermionic Hubbard model with one fermion per site at zero and finite magnetic fields

Jose M. P. Carmelo et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the interaction between charge and spin degrees of freedom in one-dimensional Mott-Hubbard insulators, particularly looking at the one-particle spectral functions in the presence of finite magnetic fields to reveal basic physical information about spin-charge correlations.

Magnon-assisted dynamics of a hole doped in a cuprate superconductor

I. J. Hamad et al.

Summary: This study calculates the quasiparticle dispersion and spectral weight when a hole is added to an antiferromagnetic CuO2 plane in a cuprate superconductor, finding that spin fluctuations play an essential role in the dynamics of the quasiparticle. The results also show that magnon contributes to the quasiparticle spectral function.

Matrix product state recursion methods for computing spectral functions of strongly correlated quantum systems

Yifan Tian et al.

Summary: The presented method utilizes a recursive representation of the wavefunction and its translations at earlier times, improving upon the commonly used linear prediction method. Surprisingly, this recursion method outperforms linear prediction at high interaction strength and provides more accurate results for spectral functions, as demonstrated in testing on the Hubbard two-leg ladder system.

Hole in the two-dimensional Ising antiferromagnet: Origin of the incoherent spectrum

Piotr Wrzosek et al.

Summary: This study introduces a self-avoiding walks approximation to calculate the spectral function of a single hole in a two-dimensional square lattice Ising antiferromagnet. The obtained local spectral function qualitatively agrees with exact diagonalization results and is largely incoherent. The incoherent spectrum on the square lattice is not triggered by Trugman loops, but originates from interactions between magnons created along the tangential paths of the moving hole, warping the linear potential.
