EEG-Based Emotion Recognition Using Regularized Graph Neural Networks

Peixiang Zhong et al.

Summary: In this article, a regularized graph neural network (RGNN) is proposed for EEG-based emotion recognition. The RGNN captures both local and global relations among different EEG channels by considering the biological topology among different brain regions. The proposed adjacency matrix and two regularizers contribute to the improved performance of the RGNN model.

Exploiting dimensionality reduction and neural network techniques for the development of expert brain-computer interfaces

Muhammad Tariq Sadiq et al.

Summary: This study employed a two-step filtering approach and four data reduction techniques to explore the dynamic nature of MI EEG signals, providing a new avenue for decoding different brain signals. Experimental results indicated that NCA performed well in subject dependent cases with accuracy reaching 100%, and also showed high precision in subject independent cases.

Multi-View Spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional Networks With Domain Generalization for Sleep Stage Classification

Ziyu Jia et al.

Summary: Sleep stage classification is crucial for assessing sleep quality and diagnosing diseases, but challenges remain in effectively utilizing brain signals, handling individual differences, and ensuring interpretability in deep learning methods. A proposed MSTGCN model addresses these challenges by combining spatial-temporal feature extraction, attention mechanism, and domain generalization, outperforming previous baseline models on public datasets.
