Heterogeneous photo-Fenton degradation toward sulfonamide matrix over magnetic Fe3S4 derived from MIL-100(Fe)

Jing Hang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the facile synthesis of magnetic Fe3S4 from MIL-100(Fe) and thioacetamide under hydrothermal conditions, which exhibits excellent oxidative degradation performance towards sulfamethoxazole (SMX) in the photo-Fenton process under both UV and visible light. Fe3S4 also shows high potential for total organic carbon (TOC) removal efficiency and recyclability in water treatment applications.

Room-temperature synthesis of MIL-100(Fe) and its adsorption performance for fluoride removal from water

Weifeng Li et al.

Summary: A novel strategy for room-temperature synthesis of MIL-100(Fe) using an organic amine as a deprotonating agent was proposed, and the resulting solid product, R-MIL-100(Fe), was characterized through various methods. The study found that R-MIL-100(Fe) had a high fluoride adsorption capacity, with the adsorption process belonging to surface adsorption and intraparticle diffusion. Additionally, R-MIL-100(Fe) exhibited excellent fluoride adsorption performance in a pH range of 4-10.

Scalable and hierarchically designed MOF fabrics by netting MOFs into nanofiber networks for high-performance solar-driven water purification

Jian Xiong et al.

Summary: Integrating metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) into flexible polymeric matrices can improve processability and expand industrial applications. A novel net-fishing inspired strategy is developed for scalable production of high-performance MOF fabrics with tailored hierarchical architectures, achieving maximum MOF loading and maintaining inherent pore structures. This strategy provides a platform for the future design of MOF fabrics with wide practical applications.
