Summary: Inspired by the digitalization during the Covid-19 crisis, this study investigates the emergence of a digital learning space in higher education. Through analyzing three phases of digitalization at the University of Oslo, three underlying forces of the digital learning space were identified: alignment of digital education and digital subjects, redefinition of roles between students and teachers, and the ability to engage with the broader society.
