Prevalence and correlates of physical activity across kidney disease stages: an observational multicentre study

Thomas J. Wilkinson et al.

Summary: Physical inactivity is prevalent among patients with chronic kidney disease, with higher rates as the disease progresses. Factors such as older age, female gender, and higher comorbidity burden are associated with increased odds of being physically inactive, while higher levels of haemoglobin, cardiorespiratory fitness, and self-efficacy are associated with increased odds of being active. Ethnicity and smoking history did not show any effect on physical activity levels.
