Light-front holography with chiral symmetry breaking

Yang Li et al.

Summary: We propose an analytically solvable 3D light-front Hamiltonian model that extends light-front holography by incorporating finite mass quarks and a longitudinal confinement term. This model is believed to be a suitable improved analytic approximation to low-resolution scale QCD. It maintains desired Lorentz symmetries and shows improved agreement with experimental mass spectroscopy and other properties of light mesons. Notably, the model also respects chiral symmetry and the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner relation.

Confinement in two-dimensional QCD and the infinitely long pion

Colin M. Weller et al.

Summary: This paper examines and extends three current models of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in (1 + 1) dimensions in light-front coordinates. It is found that a high-momentum pion has an infinite extent along its direction of motion.

Extending light-front holographic QCD using the 't Hooft Equation

Mohammad Ahmady et al.

Summary: The 't Hooft Equation and the light-front holographic Schrodinger Equation complement each other in governing the transverse and longitudinal dynamics of mesons, predicting spectroscopic data well. A universal hadronic scale of roughly 0.5 GeV from light-front holography controls transverse confinement dynamics in mesons, coinciding numerically with the 't Hooft coupling in heavy-heavy mesons, reflecting the restoration of 3-dimensional rotational symmetry.

Longitudinal dynamics and chiral symmetry breaking in holographic light-front QCD

Guy F. de Teramond et al.

Summary: In holographic light-front QCD, the breaking of chiral symmetry is encoded in longitudinal dynamics, while the superconformal algebraic structure governing transverse dynamics protects its chiral limit. The scale in the longitudinal Hamiltonian determines confinement strength and most of the light meson ground state mass. Longitudinal confinement and breaking of chiral symmetry are revealed as different manifestations of the same underlying dynamics in the 't Hooft large -N-C QCD (1+ 1) model.

Nucleon structure from basis light-front quantization

Siqi Xu et al.

Summary: The study produces the light-front wave functions of nucleons and investigates their properties, finding that some form factors of protons agree with experimental data while those of neutrons deviate slightly. Additionally, quark distribution functions, after QCD scale evolution, are fairly consistent with global data.

Hadron spectroscopy using the light-front holographic Schrodinger equation and the 't Hooft equation

Mohammad Ahmady et al.

Summary: Light-front holographic QCD is a successful approximation to hadron spectroscopy in the chiral limit. It predicts two superpartners for each baryon with degenerate masses generated by the same scale, which is broken in nature. The holographic Schrodinger equation and the 't Hooft equation together provide a good global description of the full hadron spectrum.

Mass structure of hadrons and light-front sum rules in the ′t Hooft model

Xiangdong Ji et al.

Summary: The study investigates the mass/energy structure of bound states of hadrons in two-dimensional quantum chromodynamics in the large number of color limit ('t Hooft model). It reveals that masses are related to matrix elements of scalar charge and Coulomb energy, and derives light-front sum rules expressed in terms of light-front wave functions. Additionally, the research considers the result for massless Goldstone bosons and the structure of gravitational form factors in bound meson states.
