Camouflaged Gold Nanodendrites Enable Synergistic Photodynamic Therapy and NIR Biowindow II Photothermal Therapy and Multimodal Imaging

Jingyu Sun et al.

Summary: The fabricated Gold nanodendrite (AuND)-based nanotheranostic agents with versatile capabilities enabled multimodal imaging and synergistic therapies of NIR-II photothermal therapy and NIR-I photodynamic therapy for cancer treatment. The enhanced hyperthermia and production of reactive oxygen species within the tumors via MCM coating and mitochondria targeting provide a synergistic efficacy for tumor eradication with limited side effects, showing great potentials for clinical utility in cancer therapy.

Porphyrin-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks for Efficient Photocatalytic H2 Production under Visible-Light Irradiation

Chenxiang Lin et al.

Summary: A series of porphyrin-based zirconium MOFs were explored for photocatalytic H-2 production, with MOF containing more uniformly dispersed Pt2+ ions showing the highest H-2 evolution reaction rate under visible-light irradiation. The differences in photocatalytic activity were attributed to efficient charge transfer from photosensitizers to catalytic centers in MOF materials.

Pre-clinical MRI-guided intravesical instillation theranosis of bladder cancer by tumor-selective oxygen nanogenerator

Weiqiang Lin et al.

Summary: This study presents a nanoscale oxygen generator (PLZ4@SeD) for intravesical instillation of bladder tumor, aiming to overcome hypoxia and low target efficiency issues. The results demonstrate that PLZ4@SeD can precisely target the tumor area within the bladder, enhance MRI contrast efficacy, and improve tumor permeability. Furthermore, PLZ4@SeD effectively consumes excess H2O2 inside the tumor, thus relieving hypoxia resistance and inhibiting BCa cell proliferation.
