In this study, several compounds were isolated and identified from the unripe flowers of Michelia fuscata, including a new glycoside. These compounds were characterized and identified by spectral analyses.
Fuscatin B (1), liriodenine, (-)-anonaine, northalifoline, thalifoline, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillic acid, isovanillic acid, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol, 11,13-dehydrolanuginolide, and costunolide were isolated from the unripe flowers of Michelia fuscata (Magnoliaceae). Among them, fuscatin B is a new glycoside (caffeic acid phenethyl ester 3-O-4 ''-rhamnosyl-(1 ''-> 3 ''')-glucoside). The structures of these compounds were characterized and identified by spectral analyses.
