Multiplicative noise can induce a velocity change of propagating dissipative solitons

Summary: We found that a small amount of multiplicative noise can change the average velocity of the system, which is exclusively due to the presence of stabilizing nonlinear gradient terms, and the velocity change is proportional to the noise intensity. When only one type of nonlinear gradient is present, the dissipative soliton decreases the modulus of its velocity.
