Bayesian optimization with constraint on passed charge for multiparameter screening of electrochemical reductive carboxylation in a flow microreactor

Yuki Naito et al.

Summary: This study performed multiparameter screening of reductive carboxylation in an electrochemical flow microreactor using a Bayesian optimization strategy. The developed algorithm constrained the passed charge for the electrochemical reaction, leading to the instantaneous discovery of suitable conditions for the desired reaction. Analysis of the suggested conditions by the Bayesian optimization underscored their physicochemical validity.

Flash Synthesis and Continuous Production of C-Arylglycosides in a Flow Electrochemical Reactor

Masahiro Takumi et al.

Summary: Electrochemistry offers a green and efficient approach to synthesizing pharmaceutical and functional molecules by eliminating the use of harsh chemical oxidants and reductants. Developing technologies for scale-up and reducing reaction process time is essential for promoting the implementation of electrochemical processes in industry. In this study, successful electrolysis was achieved within a few seconds using a flow-divided-electrochemical reactor, allowing for rapid chemical conversion. The narrow electrode gap of the flow reactor provided greener conditions compared to traditional batch reactors and enabled continuous flash synthesis of C-arylglycosides.
