Inkjet-Printed Self-Hosted TADF Polymer Light-Emitting Diodes

Cameron M. Cole et al.

Summary: Thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) materials are being widely studied for use in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), offering high efficiency without heavy metal complexes. Solution-processable and printable TADF emitters are desired to reduce costs associated with vacuum deposition techniques. OLEDs using a solution-processable TADF polymer that does not require an external host have been successfully demonstrated, achieving comparable performance to spin-coated counterparts. This approach shows promise for self-hosted printable TADF OLEDs.

Emissive semi-interpenetrating polymer networks for ink-jet printed multilayer OLEDs

Susanna Kunz et al.

Summary: The study successfully prepared a solvent-resistant Semi-Interpenetrating Polymer Network (SIPN) suitable for successive solution-processing by blending specific polymers and cross-linkable polymers. The efficiency of cross-linking was found to be influenced by molecular weight and cross-linker content, as revealed by monitoring the progress of the cross-linking reaction and its correlation with solvent resistance.
