Rodeo Algorithm for Quantum Computing

Summary: The rodeo algorithm can converge to the target eigenvector with exponential accuracy in a finite number of measurements. In addition to preparing eigenvectors, the method can also compute the full spectrum of the Hamiltonian. The speed for eigenstate preparation is exponentially faster than that for phase estimation or adiabatic evolution.

Toward quantum simulations of Z2 gauge theory without state preparation

Summary: Preparing strongly coupled particle states on quantum computers requires large resources. The study demonstrates a method of using classical sampling coupled with projection operators to compute Minkowski matrix elements without explicitly preparing these states on the quantum computer. This approach was tested on small lattices with a quantum simulator for the 2+1d Z(2) lattice gauge theory.
