Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition transport in spin-triplet superconductor

Suk Bum Chung et al.

Summary: This study reveals the existence of three possible BKT transitions in spin-triplet superconductors, which can be characterized by the relation between the voltage drop and the spin-polarized current bias. Due to the transport of half-quantum vortices, there is an upper bound on the spin supercurrent in spin-triplet superconductors.

State with spontaneously broken time-reversal symmetry above the superconducting phase transition

Vadim Grinenko et al.

Summary: Experimental observations in hole-doped Ba1-xKxFe2As2 show the formation of fermionic bound states at lower temperatures, but a generation of self-induced magnetic fields in the resistive state is observed when the doping level is x approximate to 0.8 instead of the expected diamagnetic screening and zero resistance. This indicates the existence of a bosonic metal state breaking time-reversal symmetry, consistent with the theory of a state with fermionic quadrupling.

Borromean Supercounterfluidity

Emil Blomquist et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the existence of a new superfluid state in a three-component Bose mixture trapped in an optical lattice, where superfluid transport involving all three components is hindered and dissipationless counterflows between any pair of components are allowed. The presence of three components allows for three different types of counterflows with only two independent superfluid degrees of freedom.

Split superconducting and time-reversal symmetry-breaking transitions in Sr2RuO4 under stress

Vadim Grinenko et al.

Summary: The study on the superconductivity of strontium ruthenate revealed that applying strain can lead to a splitting between the onset of superconductivity and the breaking of time-reversal symmetry, indicating a possible chiral d-wave order parameter. Furthermore, the appearance of bulk magnetic order was observed under higher uniaxial stress above a critical pressure in Sr2RuO4.

Unsplit superconducting and time reversal symmetry breaking transitions in Sr2RuO4 under hydrostatic pressure and disorder

Vadim Grinenko et al.

Summary: There is considerable evidence that the superconducting state of Sr2RuO4 breaks time reversal symmetry, with experiments showing that the onset temperature of this symmetry breaking matches the critical temperature. Different order parameters are under consideration, with evidence supporting the hypothesis of a d(xz)+/- id(yz) order parameter. The distinction between symmetry-protected degeneracy and accidental degeneracy of the superconducting order parameter remains challenging in Sr2RuO4.

Theory of Hofstadter superconductors

Daniel Shaffer et al.

Summary: The study investigates mean-field states resulting from electron pairing in Hofstadter bands and describes a Ginzburg-Landau theory for thermodynamic properties of Hofstadter superconductors. Different symmetry breaking patterns of the MTG are identified in a rich phase diagram, with a focus on 96q-symmetric Hofstadter SCs. Topological properties of these systems are studied with an established novel topological invariant capturing the existence of charge-neutral gapless excitations.

First-order superconducting phase transition in a chiral p plus ip system

Havard Homleid Haugen et al.

Summary: We studied the phase transitions between a two-component chiral p-wave superconductor and normal state in zero external magnetic field using large-scale Monte Carlo computations. We found a first-order phase transition from the normal state to a chiral superconducting state, driven by the interplay between vortices and domain walls.
