Schottky barrier height modulation and photoconductivity in a vertical graphene/ReSe2 vdW p-n heterojunction barristor

Thi Phuong-Anh Bach et al.

Summary: This study presents a three-terminal device with a tunable Schottky barrier for controlling charge transport in a vertically stacked structure called barristor. The device consists of a graphene/rhenium diselenide p-n heterojunction, combining the high mobility of graphene with tunable properties of rhenium diselenide. By modulating the gate voltage, the Schottky barrier height at the graphene/rehenium diselenide interface can be adjusted, resulting in improved carrier transport and optoelectronic characteristics. The device shows promising rectification behavior and sensitivity to incident power density, making it a potential candidate for high-performance graphene-based heterojunction devices.

Rectifying Effect in a High-Performance Ballistic Diode Bridge Based on Encapsulated Graphene with a Unique Design

Dinh Cong Nguyen et al.

Summary: In this study, a ballistic rectifier based on graphene encapsulated in hexagonal boron nitride is introduced. With its asymmetric geometry and the exploitation of the ratcheting effect, the device can operate successfully and provides excellent performance at room temperature, achieving estimated responsivities of 38,000 V/W for holes and 23,000 V/W for electrons, which are among the highest values reported for a ballistic device to date.

Characteristics of Mo2C-CNTs hybrid blended hole transport layer in the perovskite solar cells and X-ray detectors

Sajjad Hussain et al.

Summary: Transition metal carbide (Mo2C) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were used to modify the hole transport layers (HTLs) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and photodetectors, resulting in improved efficiency. The Mo2C-CNT@PEDOT:PSS HTL significantly enhanced the power conversion efficiency of PSCs and achieved a maximum sensitivity of 3.56 mA/Gy.cm(2) in X-ray photodetectors. The study demonstrates the potential of MXene-CNT nanocomposites in enhancing the efficacy of solar cells and photodetectors.

Giant responsivity of a new InGaZnO ultraviolet thin-film phototransistor based on combined dual gate engineering and surface decorated Ag nanoparticles aspects

H. Ferhati et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new IGZO thin-film UV Phototransistor based on a combination of dual material gate and plasmonic Ag nanoparticles, achieving improved photo-generation efficiency. The optimized design exhibits remarkable responsivity and detectivity, attributed to localized surface plasmon resonance effects and efficient carrier separation. This innovative strategy offers a promising pathway for designing potential alternative IGZO Photo-TFT for future optoelectronic technology.

Deep-Ultraviolet (DUV)-Induced Doping in Single Channel Graphene for Pn-Junction

Asif Ali et al.

Summary: The electronic properties of single-layer, CVD-grown graphene were affected by deep ultraviolet (DUV) light irradiation in different radiation environments, leading to p-type or n-type doping. The degree of doping increased with exposure time, with n-type doping in vacuum reaching saturation after 60 minutes. Additionally, p-type doping in air exhibited higher stability, while n-type doping in nitrogen gas was relatively unstable over time.

Nanojunction Material Effect on the Photoelectric Response of Single-Wall Carbon Nanotube Rectennas

Lina Tizani et al.

Summary: The impact of metal work function on the photodetection characteristics of carbon nanotube-based rectennas was investigated. It was found that a lower work function metal resulted in a higher on/off current ratio and increased sensitivity to light. These findings were explained through material characterization and energy-band diagrams.
