Real-Time MIMO Transmission over Field-Deployed Coupled-Core Multi-Core Fibers

In this study, parallel continuous measurements of deployed space-division multiplexing (SDM) fibers are carried out using real-time coherent receivers implemented on FPGAs. The fast readouts enable real-time tracking of the DSP implementation, demonstrating the compatibility of coupled-core fibers with real-time DSP implementations.
