The widespread use of corticosteroids for COVID-19 treatment has resulted in the reactivation of Strongyloides and the occurrence of severe disease in patients from endemic areas. We report a case of a US patient with COVID-19 and Strongyloides hyperinfection syndrome, and review other reported cases. Our findings emphasize the importance of Strongyloides screening and treatment in high-risk populations.
