Early control of C-reactive protein levels with non-biologics is associated with slow radiographic progression in radiographic axial spondyloarthritis

Bon San Koo et al.

Summary: The study investigated the relationship between changes in CRP levels and spinal radiographic progression in patients with radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Controlled CRP levels after 3 months of initial non-biologic treatment were significantly associated with a slower rate of spinal radiographic change. CRP levels at 3 months may be a good predictor of radiographic progression in these patients.

Deep Learning-Based Artificial Intelligence for Mammography

Jung Hyun Yoon et al.

Summary: AI-based algorithms in mammography interpretation have shown promising results in quantitative assessment, detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, and prediction of breast cancer risk, enabling more precise patient management. However, further research is needed to conclusively prove their effectiveness. Implementing AI algorithms also faces challenges in real-world practice.

Axial Spondyloarthritis: Current Advances, Future Challenges

Robert D. Inman

Summary: Axial spondyloarthritis is a chronic inflammatory joint disease affecting young adults with a predisposition for spinal fusion. Early detection remains a challenge, but intervention with biologics can alter disease progression. Genetic studies have identified susceptibility genes, while gut microbiome alterations have also been implicated.
