Simplest and Most Predictive Model of Muon g-2 and Thermal Dark Matter

Ian Holst et al.

Summary: This study suggests that the long-standing anomaly in muon g-2 may be explained by a new particle species that couples to dark matter and affects its annihilations in the early Universe. A comprehensive analysis of the model reveals a viable range of dark matter masses and predicts contributions that could potentially resolve the tension between early and late time measurements of the Hubble constant.

Systematically testing singlet models for (g-2)μ

Rodolfo Capdevilla et al.

Summary: We comprehensively study possible new physics scenarios that explain the μon (g-2) anomaly by coupling standard model singlet particles to muons through renormalizable interactions. By combining fixed-target, B-factory, and collider searches, we find that nearly all viable singlet scenarios can be covered, with future muon collider searches providing the only certain test for singlets above the GeV scale.

Prospects in the search for a new light Z0 boson with the NA64μ experiment at the CERN SPS

H. Sieber et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new physics explanation for the recently confirmed og-2 thorn mu anomaly through a light Z0 vector boson coupled to the second and third lepton generations. It discusses the NA64 mu experiment's sensitivity in searching for this boson and includes a beam simulation, detector description, and potential background sources.

Fully Geant4 compatible package for the simulation of Dark Matter in fixed target experiments

M. Bondi et al.

Summary: A package for simulating DM particles in fixed target experiments using the Monte-Carlo program within the Geant4 toolkit framework has been presented. The package includes codes for various DM production processes and can be embedded into existing applications seamlessly. The simulation results from a typical active beamdump experiment show the sensitivity to different types of DM mediator particles.

Probing the explanation of the muon (g-2) anomaly and thermal light dark matter with the semi-visible dark photon channel

C. Cazzaniga et al.

Summary: A new vector boson (A') decaying into two dark matter particles and an off-shell Dark Photon was studied to explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment discrepancy and predict the thermal dark matter relic abundance. Through Monte-Carlo simulations and experimental results, a significant portion of the parameter space was excluded, justifying the muon g-2 anomaly and being compatible with the observed dark matter relic density.

Measurement of the Positive Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment to 0.46 ppm

B. Abi et al.

Summary: The experiment presented the first results of the Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) Muon g - 2 Experiment for the positive muon magnetic anomaly a(mu) (g(mu) - 2)/2, which determined the anomaly from precision measurements of two angular frequencies. The result showed a deviation of 3.3 standard deviations from the standard model prediction, in agreement with previous measurements, increasing the tension between experiment and theory.

Constraints on New Physics in Electron g-2 from a Search for Invisible Decays of a Scalar, Pseudoscalar, Vector, and Axial Vector

Yu M. Andreev et al.

Summary: We conducted a search for a new generic X boson in the NA64 experiment at CERN, setting new bounds on the coupling strengths between X and electrons. No evidence was found for this process in the full NA64 dataset, and the results are significantly more sensitive compared to current experiments on electron anomalous magnetic moment and fine structure constant.

New physics explanations of aμ in light of the FNAL muon g-2 measurement

Peter Athron et al.

Summary: The Fermilab Muon g -2 experiment's measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment has significant implications for physics beyond the Standard Model, with constraints on models explaining large deviations and the need for considerations of mass, coupling, and chirality. It excludes many models and highlights the importance of specific parameter ranges in explaining the results.
