Improved effective dynamics of loop-quantum-gravity black hole and Nariai limit

Muxin Han et al.

Summary: In this study, a new model of a spherically symmetric quantum black hole is proposed, and the gravity is deparametrized by coupling to Gaussian dust. The effective dynamics of the black hole is generated by an improved physical Hamiltonian, and the model predicts the evolution of the black hole towards the Nariai geometry with the possibility of quantum tunneling and black-hole-to-white-hole transition.

Quantum Gravity of Dust Collapse: Shock Waves from Black Holes

Viqar Husain et al.

Summary: This study investigates the quantum gravitational collapse of spherically symmetric pressureless dust and finds that trapped surfaces form and disappear as the collapsing density profile evolves into an outgoing shock wave, black hole lifetime is proportional to the square of its mass, and there is no mass inflation at inner apparent horizons. These results offer a significantly different perspective on black hole formation and subsequent evolution compared to semiclassical analyses.

Consistent gauge-fixing conditions in polymerized gravitational systems

Kristina Giesel et al.

Summary: This article investigates the commutativity between effective gauge-fixing conditions and polymerization under loop quantum gravity excitation. Through the analysis of symmetry-reduced models of the Schwarzschild interior and Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi spacetimes, noncommutativity and inherent limitations of some choices in the literature are revealed.

Loop Quantum Black Hole Extensions Within the Improved Dynamics

Rodolfo Gambini et al.

Summary: The study reveals the existence of semi-classical states in the quantum theory that can approximate general relativity coupled to an effective anisotropic fluid, eliminating the singularity and allowing the continuation of spacetime into a white hole spacetime. This is similar to previously considered scenarios based on loop quantum gravity quantization.

Black hole collapse and bounce in effective loop quantum gravity

Jarod George Kelly et al.

Summary: The study shows that quantum gravity effects will stop the collapse and induce slow expansion of dust matter field when the energy density reaches the Planck scale after the formation of a black hole. With continued expansion, the matter field extends beyond the apparent horizon, causing the disappearance of the black hole without any singularities in the space-time.

Symmetries of the black hole interior and singularity regularization

Marc Geiller et al.

Summary: The study reveals an iso (2, 1) Poincare algebra associated with the dynamics of the interior of black holes, providing a powerful criterion to discriminate between different regularization and quantization schemes. This symmetry allows to describe the evolution of the geometry inside the black hole and hints at a fundamental role of BMS symmetry for black hole physics.

Effective quantum dust collapse via surface matching

Johannes Muench

Summary: This paper presents a strategy to generalize eternal models to dynamical collapse models through surface matching, based on assumptions about the static quantum black hole spacetime outside collapsing matter, homogeneity of the collapsing matter, and differentiability at the surface of the matter. The paper discusses the junction conditions and spacetime dynamics for bouncing black hole spacetimes proposed by loop quantum gravity, with explicit solutions provided for a recent model. The analysis reveals the collapse and re-expansion of matter, challenging the concept of an infinite tower of Penrose diagrams proposed by some LQG models.

Nonsingular quantum gravitational dynamics of an Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi dust shell model: The role of quantization prescriptions

Kristina Giesel et al.

Summary: The study investigates the consequences of loop quantization on the outermost dust shell in the Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi spacetime. Different quantization strategies are compared, showing that while both resolve the central singularity, they result in different mass gaps. The presence of gauge-covariant flux modifications can lead to asymmetric evolution of the dust shell and the non-formation of black hole-white hole twins.

Reduced phase space quantization of black holes: Path integrals and effective dynamics

Cong Zhang

Summary: In this research, the loop quantum theory is applied to the spherically symmetric model of gravity coupled to Gaussian dust fields to study the quantum features of black holes. By utilizing the path integral formulation, the quantum dynamics are investigated and an effective action is obtained to describe the continuous description of the quantum lattice system. The derived Hamiltonian in this study differs from the classical Hamiltonian with the holonomy correction for macro black holes, requiring a sufficiently fine lattice structure.

Anomaly-free deformations of spherical general relativity coupled to matter

Asier Alonso-Bardaji et al.

Summary: A systematic approach is developed to obtain spherically symmetric midisuperspace models with matter fields, showing that scale-dependent holonomy corrections can be consistently implemented. The deformed anomaly-free Hamiltonian is explicitly written in terms of three free functions, and a weak observable representing the mass of the model is obtained. Additionally, a specific covariant polymeric model is presented, remaining regular for any value of the connection components and commenting on its physical implications and relation to previous studies.

Causal structure of a recent loop quantum gravity black hole collapse model

Johannes Munch

Summary: The causal structure of the recent loop quantum gravity black hole collapse model is analyzed, finding that the presence of a causal horizon in the eternal metric and the role of shock wave and spacetime discontinuity in the collapsing scenario. The study also explores the possibilities of continuous matter collapse with only timelike evolution and presents a solution with an infinite extended causal diagram. Through the analysis of radial light rays, causal diagrams of these spacetimes are sketched out.

Black hole singularity resolution via the modified Raychaudhuri equation in loop quantum gravity

Keagan Blanchette et al.

Summary: This study examines the loop quantum gravity corrections to the Raychaudhuri equation inside a Schwarzschild black hole and near the classical singularity. It shows that the resulting effective equation leads to geodesic defocusing due to the appearance of repulsive terms, preventing the formation of conjugate points, making singularity theorems inapplicable, and ultimately resolving the singularity in this spacetime.
