Prognostic value of early changes in CT-measured body composition in patients receiving chemotherapy for unresectable pancreatic cancer

Emmanuel Salinas-Miranda et al.

Summary: This study investigated the prognostic value of changes in body composition in patients with unresectable PDAC starting chemotherapy. The results showed that a lower rate of skeletal muscle loss at first follow-up was associated with improved survival, regardless of RECISTv1.1 category. Evaluating Delta SMI at the first follow-up CT may be useful for prognostication, in addition to routine radiological assessment.
