Synergistic mechanism of Cu-Mn-Ce oxides in mesoporous ceramic base catalyst for VOCs microwave catalytic combustion

Shuoyi Feng et al.

Summary: Cu-Mn-Ce mesoporous catalysts showed high efficiency in degrading volatile organic compounds (VOCs) under microwave catalytic combustion, achieving almost 100% removal efficiency. The excellent performance and stability of the catalyst can be attributed to the synergistic effects of the dispersed catalyst on the mesoporous carrier, which increases defects and enhances catalytic activity.

Novel Mn-Ce bi-oxides loaded on 3D monolithic nickel foam for low-temperature NH3-SCR de-NOx: Preparation optimization and reaction mechanism

Shuquan Ni et al.

Summary: This study synthesized Mn-Ce bi-oxides catalysts using the superior citrate method for the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3. The presence of surface-active oxygen and oxidized Mn4+ species promotes Fast-SCR reactions, while unsaturated Ni atoms and Ce3+ species improve the redox performance. The coexistence mechanisms of Fast-SCR reactions and E-R pathways were observed, possibly due to the presence of Bronsted sites at low temperature.

Co- or Ni-modified Sn-MnOx low-dimensional multi-oxides for high-efficient NH3-SCR De-NOx: Performance optimization and reaction mechanism

Fengyu Gao et al.

Summary: This study explores the relationship between structure morphology and physio-chemical properties on NH3-SCR performances of low-dimensional ternary Mn-based catalysts. Modifying the catalysts improves surface area, enhances interaction between polyvalent cations, and provides more active sites, leading to broadened activity window, improved selectivity, and resistance to water and sulfur.

Microkinetic study of NO oxidation, standard and fast NH3-SCR on CeWOx at low temperatures

Kuo Liu et al.

Summary: A comprehensive microkinetic model was established for NO oxidation, standard SCR and fast SCR on CeWOx at low temperatures, revealing different rate-limiting steps and reaction orders for different reactions. The mechanisms of standard and fast SCR were found to be similar, with the reaction between nitrites and adsorbed NH3 playing a key role in NOx conversion. The activation energy of fast SCR was higher due to the reaction between NO and NH4NO3, but more nitrites and NH4NO3 led to higher activity for fast SCR compared to standard SCR.
