The alcohol industry has significant freedom to market its products in most countries, but when government regulation is proposed or implemented, legal arguments are often used by the industry to challenge the regulation. Governments need to be aware of legal constraints and be prepared to defend their policies against industry legal challenges.
In most countries, the alcohol industry enjoys considerable freedom to market its products. Governments considering marketing regulation must be cognizant of relevant legal constraints and be prepared to defend their policies against industry legal challenges.
