Nickel(II) salts are synthesized with saturated monocarboxylic acids to obtain nickel-containing nanocomposites. The resulting compounds are characterized and studied for their magnetic properties.
Nickel(II) salts are synthesized with saturated monocarboxylic acids: butyric, valeric, caproic, enanthic, and caprylic. The resulting compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. As a result of thermal decomposition of the synthesized carboxylates, nickel-containing nanocomposites are obtained, which are studied by scanning and transmission electron microscopy, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray phase analysis. The magnetic properties of the obtained nanocomposites are studied.
