Adjustment of operation temperature window of Mn-Ce oxide catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3

Yang Geng et al.

Summary: The introduction of tungsten as a promoter enhanced the catalytic activity of Mn-Ce oxide catalyst for NH3-SCR, increasing the NOx conversion above 150 degrees C while decreasing N2O production. Doped tungsten inhibited charge imbalance and reducibility, leading to higher NOx conversion above 150 degrees C over Mn3CeW0.3Ox compared to Mn3CeOx. Kinetic study showed that nu(SCR) over Mn(3)CeW(0.3)O(x) was higher than over Mn3CeOx, consistent with the SCR activity.

Environmental-friendly production of FeNbTi catalyst with significant enhancement in SCR activity and SO2 resistance for NOx removal

Yaqin Hou et al.

Summary: The research investigated the environmental-friendly FeNbTi catalyst with different Nb doping for NH3-SCR reaction at low temperature, showing excellent activity and resistance to SO2 and H2O poisoning. The doping of Nb promoted the transformation of Fe2O3 from crystalline to amorphous phase, increased the generation of chemisorbed oxygen species, elevated surface acid sites and NO chemisorption, leading to improved NH3 or NO adsorption and oxidation. These factors contributed to the outstanding SCR performance and strong resistance to SO2 and H2O.

Charge-Transfer Induced by the Oxygen Vacancy Defects in the Ag/MoO3 Composite System

Qi Chu et al.

Summary: In this study, an Ag/MoO3 composite system was cosputtered onto a polystyrene colloidal microsphere array using Ar plasma bombardment, resulting in MoO3 with abundant oxygen vacancy defects. By using 4-aminothiophenol as a probe molecule, the contribution of oxygen vacancy defects to the system was evaluated, showing that they provide a channel for charge transfer. The presence of oxygen vacancy defects influences the SERS spectra, demonstrating their powerful effect on the system.

Enhanced CO2 methanation activity over Ni/CeO2 catalyst by one-pot method

Rui Tang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the application of Ni/CeO2 catalysts prepared by impregnation or one-pot method in carbon dioxide methanation, demonstrating that CeO2 derived from Ce-MOF exhibited more oxygen vacancies and lower temperature reducibility, making it more beneficial for the adsorption and activation of CO2. Nickel supported on rod-shaped CeO2 derived from Ce-MOF showed higher CO2 conversion and methane selectivity at low temperatures, with the Ni/CeO2-M-1 catalysts prepared by one-pot method exhibiting superior activity. The optimal Ni loading was found to be 15 wt.% in order to achieve the maximum number of oxygen vacancies.

Effects of different methods of introducing Mo on denitration performance and anti-SO2 poisoning performance of CeO2

Lulu Li et al.

Summary: This study focused on the development of Mo-modified CeO2 catalysts for the efficient reduction of NOx emissions from stationary sources. It was found that the Mo-CeO2 catalyst exhibited higher NO conversion and better SO2 resistance at low temperatures compared to MoCe-cp. The highly dispersed Mo species on the surface of the Mo-CeO2 catalyst promoted the SCR reaction and protected CeO2 from SO2 poisoning.
