MIL-96-Al for Li-S Batteries: Shape or Size?

Pengbiao Geng et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks with controllable shapes and sizes, specifically MIL-96-Al crystals in hexagonal platelet, hexagonal bipyramidal, and hexagonal prismatic bipyramidal shapes, were prepared successfully using cosolvent methods. The shape and particle size of the MOF crystals were found to influence the adsorption of lithium polysulfides, impacting the initial capacity in Li-S batteries. These findings suggest a new strategy for designing sulfur hosts in Li-S batteries.

Preparation of nanosheet-based spherical Ti/SnO2-Sb electrode by in-situ hydrothermal method and its performance in the degradation of methylene blue

Songjian Deng et al.

Summary: The Ti/Sn Omega(2)-Sb anode prepared by the hydrothermal method showed a higher Oxygen Evolution Potential (2.09V), a smaller impedance (8.61 Omega), and a larger Electrochemical Active Surface Area compared to the control sample prepared by the traditional thermal decomposition method. Consequently, the removal rate of methylene blue reached 100% within 60 min with a reduction of total organic carbon content by 39.20%, highlighting the superior catalytic performance of the hydrothermal method in DSA for electrocatalytic oxidation.

Preparation and electrochemical treatment application of Ti/Sb-SnO2- Eu&rGO electrode in the degradation of clothianidin wastewater

Dan Guo et al.

Summary: This study investigated the electrochemical degradation of clothianidin in aqueous solution using a Ti/Sb-SnO2 electrode co-doped with graphene and europium. The Ti/Sb-SnO2-Eu&rGO electrode showed the highest efficiency and removal rate among the electrodes tested. Factors such as initial pH, electrolyte concentration, and current density were found to influence the degradation process. The study provides insights into the possible degradation pathway and offers a new method for clothianidin wastewater pollution control.
