Frailty and Multimorbidity Among Community-Dwelling Older People in Vietnam

Tran To Tran Nguyen et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and interrelationship between frailty and multimorbidity among community-dwelling older people in Vietnam. The results showed high prevalences of frailty and multimorbidity in this population, with multimorbidity being an independent factor associated with frailty. Therefore, early health interventions are necessary to prevent and manage frailty and multimorbidity in this vulnerable population.

Summary: Combining physical exercise with cognitive training is a popular intervention in dementia prevention, with simultaneous and sequential combined interventions showing more significant effects compared to single-domain training. This approach is effective in promoting cognitive and physical health in older adults, surpassing physical exercise alone.
