High accuracy power series method for solving scalar, vector, and inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrodinger equations

L. Al Sakkaf et al.

Summary: A high accuracy power series method has been developed for solving partial differential equations, with a focus on the nonlinear Schrδdinger equations. The method allows for significantly increased accuracy and computing speed compared to other methods. Analysis of error sources is performed by comparing numerical solutions with exact analytical solutions. The method is applicable to cases with external potentials and coupled nonlinear Schrδdinger equations.

High-speed soliton ejection generated from the scattering of bright solitons by modulated reflectionless potential wells

T. Uthayakumar et al.

Summary: Through numerical and theoretical research, it has been found that controlled soliton ejection with high speeds can be achieved through the scattering of bright solitons by modulated reflectionless potential wells. Theoretical modeling based on energy and norm exchange reveals the underlying physics of soliton ejection. Higher ejection speeds are obtained with multinode trapped modes, and simultaneous two-soliton ejection has been demonstrated with potential scattering from both sides.

Critical soliton speed for quantum reflection by a reflectionless potential well

U. Al Khawaja

Summary: The scattering of a nonlinear Schrodinger equation bright soliton by a reflectionless Poschl-Teller potential well was studied. A single-node bound state localized at the center of the potential forms at the sharp transition between quantum reflection and full transmission, with its energy calculated numerically and analytically. Quantum reflection by exciting multinode trapped modes was also found to be possible during the study.
