Synthesis of Tostadas-Shaped Metal-Organic Frameworks for Remitting Capacity Fading of Li-Ion Batteries

Yueji Cai et al.

Summary: A hydrothermal-mechanical synthesis method was reported to improve the electrical conductivity of metal-organic framework materials, resulting in the NHM structure with enriched ultramicropores and micropores. The NHM showed superior reversible capacity after 100 cycles at a rate of 0.1 A g(-1) and maintained good stability even after 1000 cycles, surpassing the state-of-art pristine MOFs-based anodes. This work provides a new pathway for achieving better energy conversion and storage.

Metal-Organic Framework Glass Anode with an Exceptional Cycling-Induced Capacity Enhancement for Lithium-Ion Batteries

Chengwei Gao et al.

Summary: A MOF glass anode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has been developed, demonstrating high lithium storage capacity, outstanding cycling stability, and superior rate performance. The lithium storage capacity of the MOF glass anode continuously increases with charge-discharge cycling, attributed to the increased distortion and local breakage of the Co-N coordination bonds.

Two-dimensional flower-like cobalt-porphyrin MOF/rGO composite anodes for high-performance Li-ion batteries

Yang Han et al.

Summary: A novel flower-like Co-TCPP MOF/rGO composite with superior performance as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries was successfully synthesized in this study. The introduction of rGO effectively reduces MOF stacking, enhances electron transport rate, exposes more active sites, decreases Li+ diffusion distance, and improves overall electrical conductivity of the electrode. The superior performance of the composite electrode is attributed to the prevention of Co-TCPP MOF crystal stacking growth and improvement of electrical conductivity by rGO.

Ting Li et al.

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical copper-based MOF resembling Hericium erinaceus was successfully synthesized via a one-step hydrothermal method with the assistance of citric acid. The introduced PVP as a structure tuner modified the stacking arrangement of MOF nanosheets to achieve the Hericium erinaceus morphology, enhancing electrode stability during cycling. The MOF showed promising initial discharge capacity and retained a high capacity after 150 cycles, demonstrating its potential for high-performance lithium ion batteries.
