Rapid antibacterial activity of anodized aluminum-based materials impregnated with quaternary ammonium compounds for high-touch surfaces to limit transmission of pathogenic bacteria

Jessica Jann et al.

Summary: In this study, hard-anodized aluminum materials impregnated with antibacterial agents were prepared and showed high efficiency in killing bacteria under different experimental settings. AA-QACs demonstrated faster antibacterial activity and are promising candidates to prevent the transmission of pathogenic bacteria on high-touch surfaces.
