Dual Intrareticular Oxidation of Mixed-Ligand Metal-Organic Frameworks for Stepwise Electrochemiluminescence

Da Zhu et al.

Summary: This work introduces a mixed-ligand metal-organic framework for self-enhanced electrochemiluminescence by integrating two ligands that can be oxidized and react with each other on a metal node. The incorporation of both luminophore and coreactant into the MOF framework enhances ECL intensity and allows for stepwise ECL emission, enriching the fundamentals and applications of ECL systems.
