Improving the Sodium Storage Performance of Porous Carbon Derived From Covalent Organic Frameworks Through N, S Co-Doping

Xiaochen Zhang et al.

Summary: Heteroatom doping is an efficient approach to enhance the sodium storage ability of carbonaceous anodes. Dual doping can introduce more defects and accelerate ionic diffusion. In this study, nitrogen and sulfur-co-doped urchin-like porous carbon was fabricated using covalent organic frameworks as precursors, exhibiting excellent sodium storage performances.

Excellent electrocatalytic performance of metal-free thiophene-sulfur covalent organic frameworks for hydrogen evolution in alkaline medium

Yunchao Ma et al.

Summary: This study reports the synthesis of two metal-free 2D COFs as efficient electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction in an alkaline solution. The superior HER activity is attributed to the thiophene-S units, which have higher conductivity and charge mobility. This work demonstrates the potential of rational design of thiophene-based COFs for practical applications in water splitting.

Coordination environment dependent selectivity of single-site-Cu enriched crystalline porous catalysts in CO2 reduction to CH4

Yu Zhang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the ECR selectivity depends strongly on the Cu site coordination environment in crystalline porous catalysts, with Cu-DBC showing higher selectivity and activity due to the lower energy barriers of Cu-O-4 sites during the ECR process. This provides a platform for constructing highly selective ECR catalysts with potential applications in the energy conversion field.
