Theoretical investigation of radiative viscous hybrid nanofluid towards a permeable surface of cylinder

Fazal Haq et al.

Summary: This research investigates the heat transfer performance in stratified flow of hybrid nanoliquid over permeable stretched cylinder. The study focuses on heat transfer in a hybrid base fluid composed of ethylene glycol and water, with the addition of copper and alumina nanoparticles. The effects of porosity, Darcy-Forchheimer, Joule heating, radiation, viscous dissipation, and stratification on the thermal boundary are considered. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations and solved using the ND solve code in the MATHEMATICA package. The results show that velocity field and fluid temperature decrease with increasing porosity and Hartmann variables, while they decrease with decreasing Prandtl number and stratification parameter.

Thermal outcomes for blood-based carbon nanotubes (SWCNT and MWCNTs) with Newtonian heating by using new Prabhakar fractional derivative simulations

Yinyin Wang et al.

Summary: This study presents the mixed convection flow of carbon nanotubes due to a porous vertical plate using fractional simulations. The thermal aspect of the hybrid nanofluid model is observed using single and multi-wall carbon nanotubes, treating blood as the base material. The Casson fluid model is used to predict the shear thinning and thickening aspect of blood. The results show that the Prabhakar fractional derivative simulations effectively analyze the physical pattern of the problem, and increasing the volume fraction and fractional parameters reduces the thermal profile.

Mixed convection phenomenon in packed beds: A comprehensive review

Gazy F. Al-Sumaily et al.

Summary: This review summarises the existing studies on establishing a suitable model for mixed convection phenomenon in packed beds. Most of these studies are based on Darcy's model for flow and use the Boussinesq approximation to represent fluid density variation under the assumption of local thermal equilibrium. The literature includes theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies on various geometries, and also explores non-Darcian mixed convection considering boundary effects, inertia, porosity variation, and thermal dispersion under local or thermal non-equilibrium conditions.

Impact of magnetic dipole on ferromagnetic hybrid nanofluid flow over a stretching cylinder

R. Naveen Kumar et al.

Summary: This study compares the heat and mass transfer of two different combinations of hybrid nanofluids on a stretching cylinder under the influence of a magnetic dipole. The results show that increasing the ferromagnetic interaction parameter decreases velocity but increases temperature and concentration. Additionally, an increase in the ferromagnetic interaction parameter leads to a decrease in the rate of heat and mass transfer.

Thermophoretic particle deposition in time-dependent flow of hybrid nanofluid over rotating and vertically upward/ downward moving disk

R. J. Punith Gowda et al.

Summary: The research examined the deposition of thermophoretic particles in the flow of hybrid nanofluid fuelled by rotating disk motion. The study converted estimated PDE's to ODEs with similarity transformations, solved by a numerical process, revealing changes in velocity, concentration, thermal profiles, and particle deposition behavior under different parameters. The results show that the movement speed of the disk and thermophoretic coefficient affect the rate of mass transfer.

Non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluid flow over vertically upward/downward moving rotating disk in a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

R. Naveen Kumar et al.

Summary: This study explores the impact of activation energy on Casson fluid flow in porous media, as well as the application of graphene oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in thermal properties. Through mathematical modeling and analysis of graphs, it was found that an increase in the Casson parameter decreases fluid velocity, and variations in velocity, thermal, and concentration gradients were examined in detail.

Impact of Binary Chemical Reaction and Activation Energy on Heat and Mass Transfer of Marangoni Driven Boundary Layer Flow of a Non-Newtonian Nanofluid

Ramanahalli Jayadevamurthy Punith Gowda et al.

Summary: Studied the steady Marangoni driven boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer characteristics of a nanofluid, results showed that increasing Marangoni number improves velocity gradient and reduces heat transfer, while increasing porosity parameter reduces velocity gradient and improves heat transfer, Nusselt number decreases as porosity parameter increases.
