Chiral conformal field theory for topological states and the anyon eigenbasis on the torus

Hua-Chen Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the authors propose a pure chiral approach for constructing torus wave functions, which is conceptually simpler and provides the anyon eigenbasis of degenerate ground states. Using SO(n)(1) and SU(n)(1) chiral spin liquids as examples, they construct the complete set of degenerate ground states and characterize their topological orders by analytically computing the associated modular S and T matrices.

Real-space entanglement spectra of parton states in fractional quantum Hall systems

Abhishek Anand et al.

Summary: Real-space entanglement spectra (RSES) and counting of edge excitations of non-Abelian fractional quantum Hall states constructed using parton theory were numerically computed in this work. The RSES of the parton states were found to have a one-to-one correspondence with representations of the Kac-Moody algebras satisfied by their edge currents. Computation of spectra of overlap matrices corresponding to edge excitations with constrained particle numbers provided insight about the formation of different branches.

Exactly Solvable Model for Strongly Interacting Electrons in a Magnetic Field

Abhishek Anand et al.

Summary: The study examines the states of strongly interacting particles, focusing on two-dimensional electrons in a magnetic field with a model short-range interaction. The model reveals a fractional quantum Hall effect and shares many topological properties with the Coulomb ground states, showing similar edge physics and fractional charge of excitations.

Finite and infinite matrix product states for Gutzwiller projected mean-field wave functions

Gabriel Petrica et al.

Summary: The study presents a method to obtain finite and infinite MPS representations of the ground state of a fermionic quadratic mean-field Hamiltonian, and discusses the effects after Gutzwiller projection. It also demonstrates how to handle the products of these states, showing high accuracy and minimal truncation error.

Resonating valence bond realization of spin-1 non-Abelian chiral spin liquid on the torus

Hua-Chen Zhang et al.

Summary: The study proposes resonating valence bond wave functions for a spin-1 system on the torus that realize a non-Abelian chiral spin liquid. The topological order of the system is revealed through the explicit construction of threefold-degenerate ground states and analytical computation of the modular S and T matrices.
