Preparation and thermal conductivity enhancement of a paraffin wax-based composite phase change material doped with garlic stem biochar microparticles

Summary: The study investigated the effect of different carbonaceous fillers in a natural rubber matrix, finding that the addition of a hybrid filler based on sustainable biocarbon and carbon black significantly reduced rolling resistance. Biocarbon had larger particle size and higher tensile strength compared to carbon black. Swelling studies showed a correlation between particle size and crosslink density, with thermal characterizations confirming similar behavior of biocarbon with carbon black. Further research on nanosizing biocarbon could expand its use as a sustainable filler in rubber products.
