Chitosan-coated compound fertilizer application and crop rotation alleviate continuous cotton cropping obstacles by modulating root exudates

Jingang Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of chitosan-coated compound fertilizer (CCCF) application under continuous cropping and crop rotation conditions on crop root exudates and soil bacterial communities. The results showed that crop rotation combined with CCCF application improved soil nutrient availability and enzyme activities, reduced root exudates, and regulated bacterial diversity, thus solving continuous cropping obstacles (CtO).

Effects of Ganoderma lucidum Polysaccharides on Different Pathways Involved in the Development of Spinal Cord Ischemia Reperfusion Injury: Biochemical, Histopathologic, and Ultrastructural Analysis in a Rat Model

Ramazan Kahveci et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the effects of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide (GLPS) on spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury (SCIRI) and finds that pretreatment with GLPS can prevent progression of SCIRI by alleviating inflammation, oxidation, and apoptosis. This conclusion is supported by biochemical changes and improved neurologic status after pretreatment with GLPS, which reduced spinal cord edema, inflammation, and tissue injury.

Transcriptional Dynamics of Genes Purportedly Involved in the Control of Meiosis, Carbohydrate, and Secondary Metabolism during Sporulation in Ganoderma lucidum

Manjun Cai et al.

Summary: Genes related to carbohydrate metabolism are strongly expressed during spore morphogenesis in Ganoderma lucidum, indicating the accumulation of specific carbohydrates in mature spores; Genes involved in triterpenoid and ergosterol biosynthesis are highly expressed in young fruiting body but decrease with sporulation; Regulatory pathways related to spore development were explored by analyzing the DNA binding motifs of transcription factors, shedding light on genes potentially involved in meiotic process regulation and metabolism pathways.
