Molecular Engineering of Organic Photovoltaics

Dye-sensitized solar cells and bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaics have gained attention for their cost-effective potential in photovoltaic applications. Rational molecular engineering of organic materials in the photoactive layers can modulate their fundamental properties, meeting the requirements for high-performance organic photovoltaics. This article highlights recent representative examples developed by our team.
Dye-sensitized solar cells and bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaics have drawn much attention due to their cost-effective potentials for photovoltaic applications. Rational molecular engineering of organic materials in photoactive layers can modulate their fundamental properties, fulfilling the requirements for high-performance organic photovoltaics. Recent representative examples that have been developed by ours are highlighted in this article.
