Drivers of and barriers to consumers' plastic packaging waste avoidance and recycling-A systematic literature review

Lina Fogt Jacobsen et al.

Summary: This paper provides a systematic review of research on drivers and barriers of consumers' plastic packaging waste avoidance and recycling in economically developed countries. The study finds that environmental concern and task-specific benefits are the most important drivers, while lack of knowledge and understanding, as well as lack of opportunities, inconvenience, and task difficulty are the most important barriers.

Molecular Encryption and Steganography Using Mixtures of Simultaneously Sequenced, Sequence-Defined Oligourethanes

Samuel D. Dahlhauser et al.

Summary: Molecular encoding in abiotic sequence-defined polymers (SDPs) is a promising platform for information and data storage. Researchers have synthesized eight sequence-defined 10-mer oligourethanes and used isotope labels to decipher the complex sequence information. They achieved high-capacity data storage and successfully encrypted and decrypted a text document.

Easily Functionalized and Readable Sequence-Defined Polytriazoles

Xueyan Zhang et al.

Summary: The development of sequence-defined polytriazole structure with diverse side groups is challenging but attractive. This novel structure, constructed through iterative azidation and IrAAC, allows for the introduction of functional side chains and shows potential in high-capacity digital polymer developments. Additionally, the successful application of this structure in building monodisperse macromolecules with aggregation-induced emission characteristics demonstrates its versatility in functional material fabrications.
