Laser-assisted high-performance PtRu alloy for pH-universal hydrogen evolution

Bifunctional atomically dispersed ruthenium electrocatalysts for efficient bipolar membrane water electrolysis

Summary: This study reports the electrocatalytic performance of atomically dispersed ruthenium catalysts (Ru ADCs) with ultralow Ru loading for hydrogen production via water electrolysis. The Ru ADCs exhibit activity for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), showing favorable bifunctionality. Ru-N bonding is found to play a crucial role in enhancing the catalytic activity. Vacancy-rich graphene supported electrocatalysts synthesized by radio-frequency plasma for oxygen evolution reaction

Summary: Transition metals and their compounds supported on graphene have shown promising potential as electrocatalysts for applications. This study utilized a radio-frequency plasma treatment strategy to generate sulfur and oxygen vacancies in electrocatalysts, which improved their catalytic performance for the oxygen evolution reaction. Among the different plasma systems tested, H-2 plasma was found to be the most effective in creating vacancy defects. The results demonstrated that the plasma treatment method provides a facile and effective route for preparing OER catalysts by creating vacancy structures.

Ruthenium nanoparticles integrated bimetallic metal-organic framework electrocatalysts for multifunctional electrode materials and practical water electrolysis in seawater

Understanding the doping effect on hydrogen evolution activity of transition-metal phosphides: Modeled with Ni2P

Results show that Badar charge increment and d-band center on the surface of doped Ni2P catalyst have a significant linear correlation with hydrogen adsorption energy. Additionally, experimental validation confirms that Fe and Co-doped Ni2P exhibits the best catalytic activity, with XPS and electrochemical tests supporting the theoretical analysis.

Dimensional Gradient Structure of CoSe2@CNTs-MXene Anode Assisted by Ether for High-Capacity, Stable Sodium Storage

Identifying the Activity Origin of a Cobalt Single-Atom Catalyst for Hydrogen Evolution Using Supervised Learning

Moreover, the edge-rich Co single-atom catalysts exhibit better electrocatalytic performance than commercial Pt/C at high current density, indicating the potential for rational design and structural analysis of nanocatalysts.

Boosting Activity and Stability of Metal Single-Atom Catalysts via Regulation of Coordination Number and Local Composition
