Decomposition of Organic Perovskite Precursors on MoO3: Role of Halogen and Surface Defects

Sofia Apergi et al.

Summary: Despite the rapid progress in perovskite solar cells, their commercialization is hindered by the long-term stability issues related to metal oxide-based charge extraction layers. This study investigates the interaction between MoO3 and perovskite precursors, and suggests that oxygen vacancies play a crucial role in interface degradation reactions. The findings contribute to a better understanding and improvement of the stability of perovskite solar cells.

Lewis base governing superfacial proton behavior of hybrid perovskite: Basicity dependent passivation strategy

Wanxian Cai et al.

Summary: This study investigates the behavior of protons in hybrid perovskites induced by Lewis base and their impact on the lattice structure and charge transfer kinetics in perovskite solar cells. It is found that the basicity of the Lewis base affects the stability of the organic species on the perovskite surface and the interfacial charge transport. By regulating the proton behavior, the power conversion efficiency is significantly improved, and the operational stability is enhanced.
