Quadrol-Pd(II) complexes: phosphine-free precatalysts for the room-temperature Suzuki-Miyaura synthesis of nucleoside analogues in aqueous media

Jose Luis Serrano et al.

Summary: Commercially available Quadrol has been used as a neutral hydrophilic ligand in the synthesis and characterization of water soluble palladium(ii) complexes. These complexes show high solubility in water and are effective catalysts for the synthesis of functionalized nucleoside analogues at room temperature.

Metallic Nanoparticles in Heterogeneous Catalysis

Andras Sapi et al.

Summary: Heterogeneous catalysis involves chemical processes at solid-gas or solid-liquid interfaces, where factors such as the shape and metal-support interfaces of catalyst metals play a significant role in catalytic properties. Advances in synthesis techniques and characterization tools have allowed for a better understanding of catalytic mechanisms. This review discusses the catalytic chemistry and electronic properties of metal nanoparticles, as well as the unique catalytic chemistry at metal-support interfaces.

Facile synthesis of NC(sp3)O pincer palladium complexes and their use as efficient catalysts for Suzuki-Miyaura reaction of aryl bromides in aqueous medium

Ya-Ping Pan et al.

Summary: Two NC(sp(3))O pincer palladium(II) complexes 3a-3b were synthesized in high yields in only two steps. Complex 3b exhibited higher catalytic activity in the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction compared to 3a. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the NCO tridentate coordination mode of complex 3a.
