Gold Nanowires Array-Based Closed Bipolar Nanoelectrode System for Electrochemiluminescence Detection of α-Fetoprotein on Cell Surface

Xiuxiu Li et al.

Summary: In this study, a gold nanowires array-based closed bipolar electrodes (c-BPEs) system was developed for sensitive detection of cell surface proteins. The system exhibited high sensitivity and was able to detect specific proteins at extremely low concentrations, as well as detect living cells through a synergistic amplification effect.

Spatially Selective Imaging of Cell-Matrix and Cell-Cell Junctions by Electrochemiluminescence

Hao Ding et al.

Summary: A novel method for spatially selective imaging of cell junctions by regulating the thickness of the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) layer through control of luminophore and co-reactant concentrations has been reported. Low luminophore concentration reveals cell-matrix adhesions, while high concentration allows sequential imaging of cell-matrix and cell-cell junctions. This strategy not only provides new insights into ECL mechanisms but also expands the potential applications of ECL microscopy in bioimaging.
