ana_cont: Python package for analytic continuation

Josef Kaufmann et al.

Summary: This article presents the Python package ana_cont, which is used for the analytic continuation of fermionic and bosonic many-body Green's functions using either the Pade approximants method or the maximum entropy method. The determination of hyperparameters and the implementation are described in detail. The code is publicly available on GitHub, where documentation and learning resources are also provided.

Toward Functionalized Ultrathin Oxide Films: The Impact of Surface Apical Oxygen

Judith Gabel et al.

Summary: Thin films of transition metal oxides are affected by oxygen adatoms on the surface, leading to the formation of an electronically dead surface layer and altering the band filling and electron correlations. It is important to consider the presence of surface apical oxygen when predicting the behavior of ultrathin films of transition metal oxides.

How to read between the lines of electronic spectra: the diagnostics of fluctuations in strongly correlated electron systems

Thomas Schaefer et al.

Summary: This article provides a comprehensive overview of different methodologies developed to identify the dominant two-particle scattering processes controlling the shape of single-particle spectral functions and the physical response of correlated electron systems. The approaches rely on selective analysis of the Schwinger-Dyson or Bethe-Salpeter equations, with methodological differences originating from the specific two-particle vertex functions to be computed and decomposed. The potential strength of these methodologies is illustrated through applications to the two-dimensional Hubbard model, offering insights for future developments in understanding the physics of correlated electrons.

Tracking the Footprints of Spin Fluctuations: A MultiMethod, MultiMessenger Study of the Two-Dimensional Hubbard Model

Thomas Schaefer et al.

Summary: The study compared various quantum many-body methods using the Hubbard model in different physical regimes, such as incoherent, metallic, and insulating with pseudogap created by antiferromagnetic fluctuations, in order to assess their ability to address these regimes and crossovers. Through computational and analytical analysis, the role of spin fluctuations and the accuracy of dynamical mean-field theory in approximating local quantities in the metallic regime were elucidated. Additionally, the study critically discussed the ability of imaginary-time methods to capture the non-Fermi-liquid singularities in the system.

Fluctuations analysis of spin susceptibility: Neel ordering revisited in dynamical mean field theory

Lorenzo Del Re et al.

Summary: This paper revisits the antiferromagnetic phase diagram of the single-band three-dimensional half-filled Hubbard model on a simple cubic lattice using dynamical mean field theory (DMFT). The study investigates the impact of different local correlation functions on the antiferromagnetic transition temperature. Results suggest that screening of DMFT vertex by local fluctuations enhances the transition temperature, while the incoherence introduced by DMFT self-energy suppresses it in comparison to the random phase approximation calculation.

Summary: This study classifies materials, investigates the impact of lattice geometry on material properties, and examines the influence of anisotropy on many-body effects. The research shows that increasing anisotropy leads to the breakdown of space-time separation in low-energy self-energy.
