Anti-reflection (AR) coatings, distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs), Comb filters, and dichroic mirrors were designed using multi-layered thin films and simulated using transfer matrix model (TMM). The designs include a tri-layered AR coating to increase zero-reflectance window, multi-layered DBRs and dichroic filters using alternating high and low refractive index materials, and comb filters sandwiched between two DBRs.
Anti-reflection (AR) coatings, distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs), Comb filters and dichroic mirrors were designed by multi-layered thin films using transfer matrix model (TMM) simulations. In AR coatings to increase the zero-reflectance window, a tri-layered optical coating with central layer having an optical thickness of k=2 may be chosen. DBRs and dichroic filters were designed by multilayers of alternating high and low refractive index materials in a periodic pattern. Comb filters were designed by sandwiching a thick transparent layer between two DBRs. Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
