Enhancement of quantum excitation transport by photonic nonreciprocity

S. Ali Hassani Gangaraj et al.

Summary: Enhanced interaction between two-level emitters by nonreciprocal photon-mediated means can increase excitation transport efficiency. Breaking electromagnetic reciprocity allows cooperative decay rate to exceed spontaneous decay rate, and a plasmonic waveguide with broken reciprocity via driving a dc current can significantly increase the probability of photon emission from one emitter to another, leading to improved quantum energy-transport efficiency.

Chern invariants of topological continua: A self-consistent nonlocal hydrodynamic model

S. Pakniyat et al.

Summary: In this study, Chern numbers in magnetized continuous plasma systems are calculated by considering nonlocal effects using a hydrodynamic Drude model. This model has several advantages compared to previous models, such as introducing physical response, resolving the zero-sum Chern invariants, and eliminating the need for interpolated material responses.

Qubit-qubit entanglement mediated by epsilon-near-zero waveguide reservoirs

Ibrahim Issah et al.

Summary: This study investigates qubit entanglement in rolled-up and plasmonic rectangular ENZ waveguide reservoirs. It explores the entanglement of qubits coupled to these reservoirs using concurrence metric formalism and driven steady-state entanglement under continuous pumping, showing that rolled-up ENZ waveguide exhibits higher long-range entanglement compared to the rectangular ENZ waveguide.
