Conformal properties of hyperinvariant tensor networks

Matthew Steinberg et al.

Summary: HyMERA, a new class of tensor network, combines the successes of HaPPY and MERA in simulating conformal field theories arising from hyperbolic bulk manifolds with quasiperiodic boundaries. Issues related to optimizing tensors in hyMERA and comparing with standard approaches in MERA are analyzed. New sets of tensor decompositions show different properties and suggest a possible generalization beyond the current analytical tensor forms. Randomized trials with descending superoperators in hyMERA reveal compatibility with operator spectra of minimal model CFTs.

Tensor network models of AdS/qCFT

Alexander Jahn et al.

Summary: The study of critical quantum many-body systems through conformal field theory is an important field in modern quantum physics. Certain conformal field theory models have a duality with gravity theories in higher dimensions. In order to reproduce this duality, many discrete models based on tensor networks have been proposed. This study shows that the symmetries of these models are suitable for approximating conformal field theory states, introducing the concept of quasi-periodic conformal field theory.

Note on surface growth approach for bulk reconstruction

Chao Yu et al.

Summary: In this paper, we demonstrate that the bulk geometry of asymptotically AdS(3) space-times can be effectively reconstructed using a new method called the surface growth scheme. By directly analyzing the growth of bulk minimal surfaces, our study provides further support for the application of the surface growth approach in entanglement wedge reconstruction.

Boundary theories of critical matchgate tensor networks

A. Jahn et al.

Summary: This work focuses on the use of tensor network models on hyperbolic lattices to capture key aspects of the AdS/CFT correspondence. By deriving disordered local Hamiltonians, the study establishes a deeper understanding of the relationship between tensor networks and conformal field theories. The research also explores the multi-scale quasiperiodic symmetries exhibited by these Hamiltonians and compares their correlation functions with translation-invariant models, finding convergence in the large bond dimension limit. Additionally, numerical probes of bulk parameters corresponding to boundary excited states pave the way for a tensor network bulk-boundary dictionary between regular hyperbolic geometries and critical boundary states.

Quantum bit threads and holographic entanglement

Cesar A. Agon et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel method for interpreting quantum corrections to holographic entanglement entropy is proposed, which utilizes the concept of generalized flow and can handle sources or sinks in the bulk geometry. Furthermore, the quantum corrections are described in terms of information theory using a set of quantum bit threads. The proposed method is shown to satisfy known von Neumann entropy inequalities and has applications in investigating the holographic monogamy.

Bit thread, entanglement distillation, and entanglement of purification

Yi-Yu Lin et al.

Summary: Researchers investigate the relations between bit thread, entanglement distillation, and entanglement of purification in the holographic framework. They propose a new interpretation for one-shot entanglement distillation and holographic entanglement of purification processes, suggesting that this interpretation may more accurately reflect the real physical entanglement structures.

New holographic generalization of entanglement entropy

Yoshifumi Nakata et al.

Summary: A new quantity called pseudo-entropy is introduced in this paper as a generalization of entanglement entropy via postselection, with potential applications as order parameters in quantum many-body systems. The geometric computation of pseudo-entropy in the AdS/CFT correspondence is explored, along with its properties and classifications in qubit systems. Additionally, the quantum information theoretic meaning of pseudo-entropy in specific examples is discussed, as well as its calculation in various scenarios including the presence of local operator excitations in different CFT models.
