Nanoparticle coatings for controlled release of quercetin from an angioplasty balloon

Strontium-incorporated bioceramic scaffolds for enhanced osteoporosis bone regeneration

Summary: This study aimed to fabricate bioactive scaffolds by incorporating strontium into modified amino-functional mesoporous bioactive glass (MBG) and investigate their bioactivity in vitro and in vivo. In addition, bioinformatics analysis suggested that the scaffolds could reduce reactive oxygen species levels in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in the osteoporotic model, playing an anti-osteoporosis role while promoting osteogenesis.
