We discuss a novel approach for estimating the partition function in effective model frameworks with multiple extrema in effective potentials, making it difficult to determine the mean field. Using this approach, we present a consistent model to investigate the thermodynamic properties of gluon quasiparticles as a function of temperature, in both the color confined and deconfined phases.
