Rapid, Ordered Polymerization of Crystalline Semiconducting Covalent Triazine Frameworks

Tian Sun et al.

Summary: This study successfully demonstrated a rapid synthetic method for crystalline CTFs and revealed their polymerization mechanism. Photocatalytic studies with CTFs of different crystallinity showed that large crystalline domains can significantly enhance catalytic performance. Moreover, single-layer and few-layer crystalline 2D triazine polymer nanosheets can be obtained through simple ball-milling exfoliation, leading to nearly fivefold improvement in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate.
