A Tacholess Order Analysis Method for PMSG Mechanical Fault Detection with Varying Speeds

Summary: This article introduces a novel method for detecting mechanical faults in synchronous machines at variable speed, based on order tracking method. The approach simplifies the analysis process and allows intuitive adjustment of algorithm parameters, with a statistical method used for final diagnosis. The procedure is tested in simulation and on an experimental test bench.
