Factorization and Sudakov resummation in leptonic radiative B decay - a reappraisal

Anne Mareike Galda et al.

Summary: The B-meson light-cone distribution amplitude is studied in terms of the renormalization-group equation and its solution is proposed in Laplace space, momentum space, and diagonal space. The convenient parameterization of this object is obtained for describing B decay processes at leading order. The convolution integral appearing in the factorization formula for B- -> gamma l(-) (nu) over bar is derived and evaluated at approximate NNLO.

Pion and Kaon Distribution Amplitudes from Lattice QCD

Jun Hua et al.

Summary: This study presents a lattice QCD calculation of the pion and kaon light-cone distribution amplitudes using large-momentum effective theory. The results show a significant deviation of the pion and kaon distribution amplitudes from the asymptotic form, and a large SU(3) flavor breaking effect in the kaon distribution amplitude.

Inverse moment of the B-meson quasidistribution amplitude

Ji Xu et al.

Summary: We conducted a study on the structure of the inverse moment of quasidistributions, using B-meson quasidistribution amplitude as an example. Through a one-loop calculation, we derived the renormalization group equation and velocity evolution equation for the first inverse moment of the quasidistribution amplitude. In the limit of large velocity, we discovered that the first inverse moment of the B-meson quasidistribution amplitude can be factorized into the inverse moment and logarithmic moments of the light-cone distribution amplitude, accompanied by short distance coefficients. Our findings can be valuable for understanding the patterns of perturbative matching in large momentum effective theory or evaluating the inverse moment of B-meson LCDA on the lattice.

Continuum limit of parton distribution functions from the pseudodistribution approach on the lattice

Manjunath Bhat et al.

Summary: Precise quantification of nucleon structure is crucial in hadronic physics. The lattice QCD calculations should reproduce known parton distribution functions with control over uncertainties. The pseudodistribution approach and twisted mass fermions are used to address these issues.

Probing isovector scalar mesons in the charmless three-body B decays

Jian Chai et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the multiparticle configurations of isovector scalar mesons a(0)(980) and a(0)(1450) in charmless three-body B decays with width effects taken into account. Results show that the contributions of a(0)(1450) to the branching fractions in most channels are comparable in the two scenarios, suggesting several channels for future experimental measurements to reveal the multiparticle configurations of a(0).

Shan Cheng et al.

Summary: This review discusses the significance of resummation in the k(T) factorization theorem and summarizes recent progress in computing the next-to-leading order contributions to B meson decays using the perturbative QCD approach. It also comments on the current status of the PQCD approach and highlights key issues that need to be addressed for future phenomenological applications.

A hybrid renormalization scheme for quasi light-front correlations in large-momentum effective theory

Xiangdong Ji et al.

Summary: In LaMET, parton physics in hadrons of momentum Pz is calculated by computing coordinate-space-z correlation functions that need proper renormalization to deal with linear and logarithmic divergences in lattice spacing. A hybrid renormalization procedure is introduced to match lattice correlations to those in the continuum MS scheme without introducing non-perturbative effects. Extrapolating lattice data to the asymptotic z-region based on generic properties of coordinate space correlations at moderate and large Pz is recommended to obtain momentum-space distributions.

Extraction of Next-to-Next-to-Leading-Order Parton Distribution Functions from Lattice QCD Calculations

Zheng-Yang Li et al.

Summary: This study introduces complete next-to-next-to-leading-order coefficient functions to match flavor nonsinglct quark correlation functions in position space to parton distribution functions (PDFs), making predictions for valence-quark correlation functions. By performing Fourier transformation, matching coefficients for corresponding quasi-PDFs and pseudo-PDFs are obtained. The calculations can be generalized to evaluate matching coefficients for sea-quark and gluon correlation functions.

Towards high-precision parton distributions from lattice QCD via distillation

Colin Egerer et al.

Summary: In this study, the Distillation spatial smearing program was applied to improve the extraction of the unpolarized isovector valence PDF of the nucleon. By analyzing the matched ITD and directly matching the pITD to the PDF, a concerning deviation and DGLAP evolution were observed. The utility of distillation in such structure studies was further highlighted through observation and correction of this discrepancy.

Distribution Amplitudes of K* and φ at the Physical Pion Mass from Lattice QCD

Jun Hua et al.

Summary: This study presents the first lattice QCD calculation of the distribution amplitudes of longitudinally and transversely polarized vector mesons K* and phi using large momentum effective theory. The results show that while the longitudinal distribution amplitudes tend to be close to the asymptotic form, the transverse ones deviate rather significantly from the asymptotic form. The final results provide crucial ab initio theory inputs for analyzing pertinent exclusive processes.

Large-momentum effective theory

Xiangdong Ji et al.

Summary: The large-momentum effective theory (LaMET) offers a new way to extract parton physics from proton properties through Lorentz symmetry. It provides an alternative to the standard formalism of partons by allowing for the extraction of various partonic observables through effective field theory matching and running. Future lattice QCD calculations could further enhance our understanding of hadronic structure and experimental data related to proton parton distribution.

B-meson Ioffe-time distribution amplitude at short distances

Shuai Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, a lattice investigation approach for light cone distribution amplitudes (LCDA) of heavy-light mesons, such as the B meson, is proposed using the formalism of parton pseudodistributions. The study focuses on the short-distance behavior of the B-meson loffe-time distribution amplitude (ITDA) and the construction of a reduced ITDA for the B meson, along with deriving the matching relation between the reduced ITDA and the LCDA. The reduced ITDA is ultraviolet finite, ensuring the existence of a continuum limit on the lattice.

Study on pure annihilation type B → Vγ decays

Hui Deng et al.

Summary: The study of pure annihilation type B meson decays B-0 -> phi gamma and B-s -> rho(0) (omega)gamma in the soft-collinear effective theory reveals that the decay amplitudes are primarily influenced by the omega - phi mixing effect. The predicted branching ratios are enhanced about 3 orders of magnitude relative to the pure annihilation type contribution in these two decay channels. The decay rate of B-s -> rho(0)gamma is smaller than that of B-s -> omega gamma due to the smaller rho(0) - phi mixing.
